Weigh but a shadow

Weigh but a shadow

from A$55.00

Like so many Australians, the bushfires in early 2020 really rattled us and gave us pause to reflect, rethink, and prioritise. We have created a print from which all sales will go to @wireswildliferescue, not only for their incredible work through that tough time - but for the ongoing support they will need.

Our print is called Weigh But a Shadow.

Whilst studying architecture I was always drawn to the maxim ‘Touch the earth lightly’, made famous by Australian architect Glenn Murcutt. It is also the first line of a hymn written by Shirley Erena Murray that reads, ‘Touch the earth lightly, use the earth gently’. In our opinion, it is a profound statement. We should all endeavour to weigh but a shadow on the earth. The earth is a privilege, not a right, and like any picnic area, we should leave it better than we found it. This year, we will be attempting to lighten our load on the earth dramatically, by buying less, reusing more and prioritising the environment wherever possible.

This is only the beginning.

A percentage from the sales of these prints will be donated to Wires.
